DALLO ZOLFO AL CARBONE
(From sulphur to coal)
A Documentary by Luca Vullo
It's an historical, anthropological and sociological documentary about the secret Italo-Belgian Pact of 1946, which caused the emigration of thousands of Italian miners and peasants at the coal mines in Belgium.
An intimate and collective portrait that deals with different topics: unemployment, emigration, exploitation, lack of safety at work, integration and loss of identity and allows us not to forget those Italians who, sold from their country for a sack of coal, became "prisoners" of the mines to give an economic re-growth to our country.
